How we choose topics

  • Every article starts from a clear reader question and aims to leave the reader with a useful answer.
  • Topics should fit the site's focus and avoid repeating an existing page without adding something new.
  • We publish guides meant to help readers, not pages built only to chase search terms.

Sources and evidence

  • Prefer primary or official sources—government agencies, standards bodies, manufacturer documentation, or peer-reviewed research—over secondary roundups.
  • Factual claims that are not common knowledge should include a direct citation link in the article.
  • When a topic needs evidence, include at least two authoritative sources.
  • We do not invent statistics, quotes, interviews, product tests, travel experiences, case studies, current prices, or credentials.

Review before publishing

  • Does the article answer the reader's question?
  • Are claims supported, and do the citation links work?
  • Is the structure clear, with useful sections and practical detail?
  • Are images relevant, properly licensed or original, and described accurately?
  • Do related links help the reader continue on a useful next step?
  • Is the byline assigned to a named contributor for this site?

How we use AI

  • Related links should help readers continue with the same topic, not pad the page.
